Shop Technician
General Purpose and Scope of Position:
The Shop Technician diagnoses and repairs cars or light trucks. Other duties of the Shop Technician include inspecting vehicles, performing routine service and keeping records of work done.
Key Skills and Abilities Include:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- 1-3 years mechanic experience strongly preferred
- Effective communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills required
- Must have a valid Minnesota driver’s license and automobile insurance
- Ability to work in a high performance, fast-paced team environment
- Ability to adapt to and work effectively within a constantly changing environment
- Proficiency with shop tools and equipment
- Good knowledge of the maintenance and repair of heavy and light duty gasoline and diesel engines and related mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and electronic component systems
- Excellent customer service and problem solving skills required
- Ability to walk/stand on concrete for prolonged periods of times
- Ability to bend, kneel and work with arms raised for prolonged periods of time
- Must be able to lift 50+ pounds.

Specific Responsibilities:
- Follow safety procedures at all times to avoid accidental injuries and damage to automobiles
- Keep shop, equipment, and tools in safe operating condition
- Perform tasks such as engine services, brake jobs, and other preventative maintenance on cars/pickups, trucks, buses, and other powered rolling equipment; replaces common parts and makes adjustments.
- Able to have communication with all outside vendors pertaining to the shop to stay up to date on pricing and new products offered.
- Create Shop tickets in a timely manner and submit to Shop Manager.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Energy Delivery Driver (LP and Fuel)
General Purpose and Scope of Position:
This position distributes Energy products (Bulk Fuel and LP) in a manner that will optimize the Co-ops market share and savings. They are a team member in ensuring excellent service and overall customer satisfaction.
Key Skills and Abilities Include:
- High School Diploma or equivalent years of experience
- Proficiency with computers to intermediate level utilizing Microsoft Windows Applications
- Knowledge of mathematical concepts and the ability to apply such concepts as fractions, percentages and ratios to practical application with accuracy
- Ability to sit at a desk and/or computer terminal to perform writing and/or keying/typing information and also able to work in all elements
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Obtain or have Class B CDL with Hazardous Materials Endorsement, air brakes, and tanker. Class A preferred.
Key Personal Attributes Include:
- Strong interpersonal and effective communication skills (verbal, written and utilizing all media (phone, e-mail, text) for interaction with customers and fellow employees
- Ability to maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management and support resources, with a constant commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer service
- Practical organization skills with strong attention to detail along with ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple assignments
- Ability to respond professionally to common inquiries or complaints from sales staff and other employees, customers, regulatory agencies, suppliers, etc.

Specific Responsibilities:
- Maintain a regular delivery schedule and sales to customers in a manner which will result in increased customer satisfaction
- Submit tickets, balance meters, cash receipts, trip reports and truck inspections daily.
- Keep up to date on available products offered.
- Be aware of competitors pricing and energy program – Work closely with Energry Manager to develop plans to be competitive.
- Be aware of all Co-op Programs and prices as it relates to the LP Gas Department
- Inform manager of potential problems or new business opportunities related to the Co-op
- Follow, meet, and stay current on all Federal & State regulations
- Willing to attend the PERC Training Program and all other trainings.
- Maintain inspection reports as required and perform daily
- Willing to work in all weather conditions
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds
- Follow all credit policies
- Willing to work long hours during peak seasons and fill in for other employees and in other departments as needed
- Setting of LP tanks and instillation of LP gas lines
- Any and all other duties as assigned
C-Store: Part Time Cashier
General Purpose and Scope of Position:
This position provides service to our customers by operating the gas pumps and cash register with efficiency and pleasantness. This position is a team member that ensures excellent service and overall customer satisfaction.
Key Skills and Abilities Include:
- Must be 15 years of age or older
- Able to perform light cleaning
- Knowledge of point of sale software
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Ability to sit at a desk and/or computer terminal to perform writing and/or keying/typing information for protracted periods of time or standing while performing general filing or daily office tasks
Key Personal Attributes Include:
- Strong interpersonal and effective communication skills for interaction with customers and fellow employees.
- Ability a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management, and support resources, with a constant commitment to teamwork and customer service.
- Ability to respond professionally to common inquiries or complaints from customers and employees, always greeting and saying Thank You to our customers.
- Reads, writes, and speaks the English language fluently.
- Wears a clean uniform shirt daily and is personally neat and clean.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Compute daily checkout when working
- Keep supplies needed in coolers
- Empty all trash containers and take out
- Wipe off freezer glass, cooler doors and deli counter area
- Restocking napkins and cups and straiten shelves
- Clean bathrooms daily
- Any and all other duties as assigned
